Salesforce Admin Certification Practice Test 2026 - Free Salesforce Admin Exam Questions and Study Guide

Delegated administrators have specific responsibilities regarding custom objects within Salesforce, and option B reflects one of their limitations. While they cannot delete the custom object altogether, they can modify page layouts, which involves customizing the interface users interact with when viewing records of that object. This includes managing fields displayed, which affects how users engage with the data contained in the custom object.

Delegated administrators typically do not have permissions to set permissions broadly for the custom object itself—that task is usually reserved for higher-level administrators. Additionally, they are not responsible for managing workflow rules or sharing settings for custom objects, which are typically governed by more senior admin roles. Similarly, modifying relationships to other objects often requires more in-depth administrative permissions that delegated administrators do not possess, ensuring a clear hierarchy in the administration capabilities within Salesforce.

This nuanced division of responsibilities emphasizes the importance of carefully defining roles and permissions to maintain data governance and security within the organization.
